Description:
File documents a consultancy project for the University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, for site planning and phased improvements for the campus. The project delineates zones for landscaping, pedestrian and vehicular circulation patterns, passive and active recreation areas, and building types. A plan showing existing conditions also shows new construction and a phasing scheme. This plan has a plastic overlay and is mounted on a panel of press board, and was possibly used for presentation purposes. Existing conditions material includes panoramas of the campus (montages of photographs), and existing plans of the campus and surrounding area. Conceptual sketches are drawn on top of photocopied photographs of the campus in coloured crayon, and are annotated with notes by Price which address the landscaping and walkway embellishments intended to enhance the experience of circulating between buildings. Material in this file was produced in 1980. File contains conceptual drawings, design development drawings, reference drawings, a panel, photographic materials, and textual records.

Description:
The project series documents "Complimenti D'Architettura", an installation for the Biennale di Venezia at the Magazzini del Sale in 1978. The installation consists of a stone wall that showcases the different types of stone used as construction material over time, begining with uncut natural stone and ending with cut polished stone. "It is a symbolic history of architecture [...]: all the intermediate phases, from the collection of scattered pieces of rock, piled up to make a heap, to the hewn and polished stone, its surface as shiny as a mirror." [1] The installation was also presented at the exhibition "La fine del mondo" at the Centro Pecci per l'Arte Contemporanea in Prato, in 2016. The project series contains photographs of the first edition of the installation at the Biennale di Venezia, and installation sketches. It also contains two photographs of the second edition at the Centro Pecci per l'Arte Contemporanea. AP206.S1.1983.PR01
Description:
This project series documents residential housing for officers at the Reserve Bank of India in Chandigarh, India from 1983-1986. The project consisted of four-storey apartment blocks located on twelve blocks totalling 2.87 acres. The apartment blocks had oblong-shaped spiraling staircases at exterior openings along the buildings' elevations. Located in Sector 44B, the apartments observed both the norms of the bank's staff quarters guidelines and the architectural control established in Chandigarh. This project was proposed in two phases, the second of which integrated public spaces, amenities and maintenance quarters into the campus. The project is recorded through drawings, textual records and a photograph dating from 1983-2003. About half the drawings are originals and included are plans, elevations, sections, details and structural and electrical drawings. Many of these are working drawings, but some presentation drawings are included. The textual records consist of specifications, reports, correspondence and the project contract. The photograph shows Aditya Prakash on the roof of the finished building.
