Résumé:
Metabolism Trip is a collection of photographs and short stories of Charlie Koolhaas’ journey along many of the remaining buildings of the Metabolist Movement. In the late 1950s a small group of young Japanese architects and designers joined forces under the title of "Metabolism". Their visions for cities of the future inhabited by a mass society were characterized by large scale structures. Charlie Koolhaas, a Dutch photographer and editor of UNIT magazine, traveled across Japan in 2009 to photograph how these architectural icons have survived and aged. What do their founding fathers and their inhabitants think of these buildings now? What Koolhaas found were triumphant and at times eerie constructions that had taken on a life of their own.

Résumé:
Thombu was a term used by the Dutch to describe a public land registry. The Incomplete Thombu poses as a bureaucratic document file and covers the subject of Tamil displacement during the civil conflict in Sri Lanka between 1983 and 2009. Though numerous documents of statistical data have recorded the displacement of civilians, few have highlighted the personal plights of those involved. This project records the stories of civilians removed from their homes and the memories that they took with them. T. Shanaathanan examines the subject of displacement through a series of drawings that overlay ground plans of houses drawn from memory by displaced Tamil-speaking civilians, with architect’s renderings and dry pastel drawings.

From scientific discoveries to animist beliefs, plants are an inexhaustible source of stories that reveal our most intimate desires and fears. Photography is the primary witness to his phenomenon. ''Science/Fiction'' questions human projections and representations of the vegetal world, bringing to light the subjectivity, intelligence and expressive abilities of plants. The publication traces a visual history of plants, linking art, technology and science from the mid-19th century to the present day through two conceptual frameworks: scientific and fictional. Bringing together more than 30 artists across different periods of time and parts of the world, it employs the logic of the science fiction novel, taking us from a stable, identifiable world and gradually plunging us into uncertain landscapes.

Résumé:
To protest is a fundamental human act against injustice. It takes many forms: the defiant act of existing, the organized resistance of multitudes, armed struggles, and the disruption of systems through speech, action, and refusal in person, in prints and slogans online, or on the streets. Some forms of protest require symbols, flags, and specific attire, while others are carried out through non-verbal communication, secret dissemination, and ideological discipline. Yet all of them need cultural carriers–our bodies, our stories, and our marks to hold what can be remembered and learned from. Whether explicit or invisible, in communities or in solitude, this issue explores why we protest, and how, in the hopes of sparking solace, solidarity, and action.
