Résumé:
''Dan Graham, some rockin’'' is a compilation of fifteen interviews (two of them previously unpublished) between Dan Graham and artist friends, architects, musicians, art critics, and curators from various parts of our world. In these interviews Graham’s intense interest in and observation of cultural phenomena such as rock music, urbanism, architecture, corporate culture, and art world politics and their historical development overlaps and interferes with the articulated interest of the interviewers in Graham’s art, sense of humor, attitude, and point of view in regard of a huge variety of topics. Two essays, besides the ''Introduction,'' are added to this compilation: the essay ''The museum in evolution'' by Dan Graham, and an essay by the editor, Gregor Stemmrich, on the development and far reaching implications of Graham’s art.

Résumé:
Challenging European cultural conventions, the work of Swiss-Bolivian artist Carmen Perrin is infused with fine undertones and references to her Latin American roots. In her preference for industrial mass-produced materials she transposes electric wire, cables and building materials into a subtle, ambiguous imagery and sculptures which activate the surrounding space. This publication presents 15 of her most important art-in-architecture interventions: in the Zurich headquarters of the Swiss National Bank, the Dock Midfield Terminal of Zurich-Kloten Airport, Lucerne's Gynaecological Hospital and further projects in France, Brazil, USA (New York) and Switzerland. Carmen Perrin, born in Bolivia in 1953,immigrated to Switzerland in 1960.She now lives in France and teaches at Geneva's École Supérieure des Beaux-Arts.

Résumé:
"One place after another" offers a critical history of site-specific art since the late 1960s and a theoretical framework for examining the rhetoric of aesthetic vanguardism and political progressivism associated with its many permutations. Informed by urban theory, postmodernist criticism in art and architecture, and debates concerning identity politics and the public sphere, the book addresses the siting of art as more than an artistic problem. It examines site specificity as a complex cipher of the unstable relationship between location and identity in the era of late capitalism. The book addresses the work of, among others, John Ahearn, Mark Dion, Andrea Fraser, Donald Judd, Renée Green, Suzanne Lacy, Iñigo Manglano-Ovalle, Richard Serra, Mierle Laderman Ukeles, and Fred Wilson.

Résumé:
Firminy is a small French mining town, and is the site of the largest collection of Le Corbusier’s architecture outside of Chandigarh, India. Monumental in scale and civic ambition at its inception, the development at Firminy followed Le Corbusier’s concept of La Ville Radieuse (the Radiant City). The buildings at Firminy were never completed due to local industrial decline, and in recent years have suffered from political manipulation and physical neglect. The current state of the site is documented in Arni Haraldsson’s photographic series from 1999. Using a historically minded and architecturally oriented curiosity, Haraldsson sets these buildings and their modernist utopianism within the frame of the local inhabitants’ conviction of the social and historical value of Corbusier’s life and work.
