Résumé:
"Inside design now" looks at American design in the new millennium, providing a fascinating tour of cutting-edge trends in architecture, interiors, landscape, fashion, graphics, and new media. Featuring eighty emerging and established designers – including 2 x 4, Mike Mills, Peter Eisenman, Fuse Project, Tod Machover, Paula Scher, Jennifer Siegal, and Isaac Mizrahi – "Inside design now" illustrates the most innovative and provocative thinking in design today. Essays explore the role of the designer in today’s culture, contemporary ideas of beauty and functionality, and what the future holds in the realm of design. Sensuous materials, lush patterns, and exquisite details come together with new technologies, pop imagery, and fresh approaches to scale, colour, and construction in the works reproduced in this volume. This book accompanies the exhibition of the same name at the Cooper Hewitt Museum of National Design beginning in April 2003.

A photographic insight into the Soviet-era architecture of one of the most extreme, little-known and vast territories on Earth. From the Ural Mountains to the Arctic Circle, the book features the extensive microrayons of Siberia’s urban centres, the brutal landscapes of industrial monotowns, cosmic circuses, concrete theatres and opera houses, as well as prefabricated panel blocks, or panelki, erected on permafrost. Divided into 6 chapters, Concrete Siberia by Zupagrafika contains over 100 photographs capturing the stark splendour of post-war modernist architecture scattered around the cities of Novosibirsk, Omsk, Krasnoyarsk, Norilsk, Irkutsk and Yakutsk and the quotidian lives of their inhabitants.

Catalogue of the exhibition ''Sixteen Chinese Museums. Fifteen Chinese Architects''.The exhibition reflects on the role museums play as motors of progress within the socio-political and cultural landscape in China today. It simultaneously presents and enquires into this role, and the associated tasks and aims of museums and cultural spaces, against the backdrop of the global, digital, urban and demographic challenges of the 21st Century, as well as the more locally-specific concerns of heritage and identity. Taking each of sixteen museums as case studies, the exhibition focuses on a set of crucial questions. How is local and national identity defined by the museum design and curation? How does the museum function within the context of its local social and urban environment? Which form or shape was identified as being most suitable for the museum’s function and its context?
