Featuring texts by artists Miranda July, Allan McCollum, Chris Johanson and Byron Kim, this volume was made during a residency at Domaine De Kerguehennec in Brittany, France. Known for collaborative, socially minded works (such as Learning to Love You More, a 2002-present Web-based project produced with July), during this residency Fletcher engaged local people in the creation of more populist works for their much-used sculpture park, resulting in the production of a bright green bronze turtle designed by an eight-year-old boy.

The only book on Purism, "L'Esprit Nouveau" is a key contribution to the study of classic 20th-century modernism in painting and architecture. The book serves as the catalogue for an exhibition at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The title examines over 75 paintings by Le Corbusier, Ozenfant, and their closest colleague, Fernand Léger. At the heart of the study lies a single work: Le Corbusier's striking design of the Pavillon de l'Esprit Nouveau for the 1925 Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs, at which the term "Art Deco" was coined. Composed of some of the most innovative architects in Europe, the group focuses on interactive 'intelligent' systems employing digital fabrication, robotics, and distributed networks of sensors and microprocessors. The project 55/02 is a form of forest shelter that engages with the landscape and is designed to address the visitor towards the particular qualities of its unique placement. It is at once a shelter, a sculpture, a vantage point, and a geographical marker. Essays by the project's authors describe the creation/building process and speculate on the work and its significance.
