Armed only with snow shovels, a group of college students took advantage of the opportunity present in the snowed-over section of the central library’s staircase; converting the impassable steps into an impromptu sledding hill.

Conceived as an act of benevolent piracy, the hill was an attempt to revitalize the space otherwise quarantined by the university’s Buildings and Grounds Crew. Though the latter removed the hill shortly after its conception, the poignancy of simple play was not lost on those who took advantage of an unexpected joy during their rush to Chem. 101.
