Toolkit for Today

The CCA designs and convenes Toolkit for Today, a week of seminars, workshops, and public events that invites scholars to share their methods, topical questions, and objects of inquiry with the participants of our Doctoral Research Residency Program.

Each year, a topic is chosen to respond to and direct emerging currents in scholarly practice and to encourage the development of critical methodologies and communities.

In 2023, Toolkit for Today: Collectivity assembles a series of seminars that centres the work of collectives in shaping and projecting architectural inquiry.

An archive of previous editions of Toolkit for Today can serve as a resource for students and others interested in charting how architectural scholarship deploys methods that move in parallel with contemporary social issues.
