Marking the release of the three-part publication Dialogue: Itsuko Hasegawa, Hiroshi Hara, and Toyo Ito in the Age of Crisis, published in Japanese by Millegraph and the CCA, Giovanna Borasi will be joining Toyo Ito, Koji Ichikawa, and Kayoko Ota in Tokyo for a discussion moderated by the publisher, Yutaro Tomii. The discussion’s starting point will be a comparison between the notion of crisis in contemporary architectural practice and in the post-Osaka Expo (1970) context. This was a salient theme in the series of conversations held with Ito, Itsuko Hasegawa, and Hiroshi Hara as a part of the CCA c/o Tokyo program curated by Ota. The conversations were subsequently published as a trilogy of CCA Singles and are now presented in their original Japanese version in collaboration with Millegraph. The publication along with Toyo Ito’s recent donation of part of his archive to the CCA form the milieu for this interdisciplinary talk.
