Nuit Blanche at the CCA

Special Event, in English and French, Main Galleries, Octagonal Gallery, and Shaughnessy House, 28 February to 1 March, 6pm to 1am

On the occasion of Nuit Blanche 2026, we invite you to encounter the various images, objects, performances, and sounds inhabiting our galleries; to embark on a speculative journey through history, memory, and the built world. Combining architectural fragments, archives, videos, and sounds from here and elsewhere, this new edition invites you to drift into a space where the history of architecture is not observed from a distance, but explored as a living, unstable, and transforming entity that can be experienced, traversed, and reinterpreted. We invite you to pause, listen, and reflect in the hushed intensity of the night, attentive to what, from past futures, continues to haunt the present.

Join us for Breaking Ground, an experimental and meditative audiovisual performance by Joshua Frank; Three-Foot-High tours of our exhibition How Modern for children and their families, punctuated with visible and hidden clues; Beyond History, a workshop where archives transform into a tool to reimagine history beyond its official boundaries; and Multiple Choice tours of our exhibitions that reflect on the interpretation of the world as a fragmented reality rather than a completed project.
