On 18 and 19 February, the Cinémathèque Québécoise hosts screenings of films by Gordon Matta-Clark. The program is organized by Dylan Adamson based on the Gordon Matta-Clark collection at the CCA. The program on 18 February shows five of his films shot between 1971 and 1976, documenting one garbage wall, one car crash, two building cuts, and one formal experiment. On 19 February, the focus is on his works Conical Intersect and Office Baroque. In all his work, Matta-Clark sought to expose the thin boundaries that divide people, media, spaces, and ideas.
Francesco Garutti (Associate Director, Programs) and Martien de Vletter (Associate Director, Collection) will give a short introduction on the Gordon Matta-Clark collection at the CCA.
