Giovanna Borasi, CCA Director and Chief Curator, takes part in a public talk with Angela Pang related to the exhibition Rational Form Making, on view at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design from 6 February to 15 March 2026. The exhibition explores nature’s way of building itself, a concept central to the philosophy and approach of the Hong Kong- and Boston-based practice PangArchitect. PangArchitect’s work comprises academic, commercial, and residential architecture, as well as landscape design, exhibition making, and research. Rational Form Making reveals the firm’s research into architectural and mathematical attempts to discover and emulate “nature’s willfulness,” manifested in the projects by Antoni Gaudí, Félix Candela, Heinz Isler, and Frei Otto. Participating virtually, Borasi draws on her curatorial experience to consider how architecture must find new ways to be more attuned to and supportive of life.
This event is free to attend, both in person and online on the event page.
