Visiting Scholar Pierre Chabard presents his work on how the cultural field of architecture became institutionalized from 1975 to 1985. He begins with a study of the CCA’s first exhibitions, particularly Photography and Architecture, 1839-1939, which traveled Europe and America between 1982 and 1984. Chabard is an architect, historian and architectural critic, assistant professor at the Ecole nationale supérieure d’architecture Paris La-Villette and founding member of the magazine Criticat.
