Milan-based exhibition and research platform Ordet presents HOMELAND, a project that reflects on the impact of borders and the increased complexity of the systems in place that dictate the movement of people, things, and information.
Selected holdings from the CCA’s collection are featured within the exhibition, as a display titled “We all saw this coming.” Curated by the CCA, it explores key investigations into the development of city control technologies previously featured in the CCA exhibition, Actions: What You Can Do With The City, including Cedric Price’s studies on CCTV cameras and a series of New York maps produced by Surveillance Camera Players.
“We all saw this coming” will be shown alongside works by Chantal Akerman, Yuri Ancarani, Zach Blas, James Bridle, Simon Denny, Mohammad Eltayyeb, Harun Farocki, Michael Klier, Lydia Ourahmane, Jon Rafman, Hito Steyerl, Surveillance Camera Players, James T. Hong, Amalia Ulman, Xu Zhen, and Andrea Zittel.
