This workshop is all about time, motion and the spaces we move through daily. In collaboration with choreographer Andrea Peña, we ask: what if efficiency weren’t always the goal?
In a world that pushes us to move quickly and be highly productive, we invite you to enjoy being inefficient and to move around in ways that might seem wasteful, unproductive, even clumsy. Participants will experiment with individual and team movement, lunging down the hallway, taking small steps, crawling, and exploring how we experience space when we prioritize sociability, expression and creativity with our bodies.
Attendance to this event is free and open to children aged 10 and up. Please RSVP.
This workshop explores themes and ideas from the exhibition Building a new New World.
