2026 CCA Interuniversity Charrette: Night Swimming

Special event, in English and French, 11 March to 16 January

We are now accepting applications for the 2026 edition of the Interuniversity Charrette. This annual contest for architecture and design students is organized by the CCA in partnership with the Université du Québec à Montréal, the Université de Montréal, and McGill University. Participating teams will have five days to develop a proposal in response to this edition’s theme, which will be revealed during the launch on 11 March. The contest is open to all students currently registered in Canadian universities as well as to recent graduates. At least one student in each team must be pursuing or have graduated from an architecture or design program in Canada.

Teams can include:
• Undergraduate students: 2–5 members
• Graduate students and/or recent graduates (students who graduated 2 years ago or less): 2–3 members

To apply, please submit the following information:
• Project title
• Two digital A2 horizontal boards in PDF format (single file, maximum size 10MB)
• One representative image (JPG, horizontal, 1920x1080px)

Submissions will be accepted from 11 March at 8pm to 16 March at 2pm.

• 11 March, 6pm (EDT): Online Launch of the 2026 Charrette

• 19 March, 6pm (EDT): Award ceremony at the CCA, Montréal (livestreamed)
