CCA Interuniversity Charrette

Cedric Price. Diagram mapping programme and community for Inter-Action Centre, London, England. 1977. Cedric Price fonds, DR1995:0252:621

Initiated in 1995 by the CCA, in collaboration with the Université du Québec à Montréal, Université de Montréal and McGill University, the interuniversity Charrette is an annual competition open to Canadian students and recent graduates in architecture, landscape architecture, urbanism, environmental design, urban design, industrial design, and graphic design.  Each year, a new topic on a contemporary issue is proposed to the students, who then have 4 days to develop a design idea and a statement. The Charrette is a call for ideas that aims to bring ideas on contemporary issues from the future generation of designers in the foreground.

View our most recent Charrette 2025 website and engage with the ideas submitted by the students and the winning projects.
