- Sheet is folded vertically at c.l. and has several old folds. Sheet was made from three sheets joined together.

Inscription:

signed and inscribed - by the engraver, in the plate below the image, l.r.: "Iac. Bossius Belga in aes. incidebat" inscribed, numbered and dated - by the engraver ? in the plate on the image, t.: "VRBIS ROMAE / DESCRIPTIO [in cartouche]; in various locations: with numbers and letters corresponding to the legend; in the plate below the image, l.r.: "Quamplurima hic notatu digniss. brevitati studentes tacenda putavimus / EX TYPIS / ET DILIGENTIA / ANT.LAFRERI [CAE erased]"; and l.l. to l.r.: "Illustrissimo atq. integerrimo Mecenati suo / Georgio Card:Armeniaco [...] Romae Idib. Novemb. M D LV / Tibi, tuisq. Deditiss. & obstrictiss. Cliens / Hugo Pinardus Cabilonen." followed by legend listing gates, hills, bridges, acquaducts, baths, theatres, circuses, obelisks, triumphal arches, monumental columns, temples, houses and other structures numbered - by an unknown hand, in graphite, on the print outside the plate mark, u.r.: "2"
