Physical characteristics and technical requirements:

- Contemporary binding consists of maroon leather-covered boards and spine. There is a gold gilt inscription on the front cover. Endpapers are of white silk moiré. Secondary supports are of brownish white cardboard.

stamped - in typescript and embossed gold gilt, on the front cover, c.: "VIEWS OF PORT SUNLIGHT." imprinted - in typescript and black ink, on the title page, c.: "VIEWS OF PORT SUNLIGHT." labelled and dated - in typescript and red and black ink, on a paper label attached to the verso of the front flyleaf, c.: "Presented to / T. Bacon, Esq., / with the compliments / of / Lever Brothers Limited. / Port Sunlight, / 1909."
