- Contemporary binding consists of reddish-brown cloth-covered boards with gold and white ink inscriptions. Endleaves are of white paper. The book contains a frontispiece, title page, preface, table of contents, list of illustrations, multiple chapters and appendices, 57 albumen silver prints, lithographs and maps.
