The endpapers were Torinoko paper from Fukui in Northern Japan, and the text was printed on Shigarami-gami, from Shigarami-mura in Central Japan. Taut had left Germany after the rise of the National Socialists, and settled in Japan, where he produced this little book and his classic 'Houses and Peoples of Japan."--Descriptions from Urus Books
