"The reproductions of the photographs ... were printed at The Meriden Gravure Company from half-tone negatives made by Richard Benson. The cover and typography were designed by Lance Hidy. The text, set in Monotype Bell, was printed letterpress by Michael & Winifred Bixler. The album was bound by Robert Burlen & Son and published in an edition of 2000 copies. A Special Edition of 150 copies, numbered 1-150, each containing an original print made and signed by the photographer, and a Deluxe Edition of 50 copies, each containing ten original prints made and signed by the photographer, bound in two volumes and numbered I-L, have also been issued. Both the Special and Deluxe editions are bound by Moroquain and reserved to and distributed by the photographer through the Haywire Press, New City, New York. 15 additional copies of the Special Edition and 10 sets of the Deluxe Edition, the prints marked A/C, are reserved to the photographer and publisher."--Colophon.
