Abridged text of Claude Perrault's edition of Vitruvius.
The frontispiece (dated 1691), a reduced copy of that in the 1673 folio edition, is mounted on the verso of the front flyleaf and is not included in the pagination or signatures.
The plates, also reduced copies of some of the plates in the 1673 folio edition, were used in the Amsterdam 1681 edition and were copied for the English edition of 1692.
Abridgment, in French, of: De architectura.
The abridgment is by Claude Perrault and based on his complete translation published in 1673. Perrault is named only in the Privilege on last page.
