Over 800 engravings, some full-page, by Cherrier, Orrin Smith, Adolphe Best, and others, after Français, Aubry, Trimolet, Daubigny, Lacoste, Daumier, and others.
Four frames exist within the text for engravings that are lacking: Neuvième salle des maréchaux (p. 316); Dixième salle des maréchaux (p. 317); Septième salle (p. 341); Suite de Napoléon, salle n. 6 du plan (p. 419).
