A telescopic peepshow composed of six die-cut color cardboard panels (including upper and lower covers) attached at top and bottom edges with accordion-folded tissue paper. A hole in the center of the upper board reveals a single view incorporating the chromolithographic illustrations of all six panels. Issued in a buff-colored paper envelope marked NYWF Lic. 750. Upper board is illustrated with a kneeling George Washington and three others in colonial costumes being shown the future (the central walk of the New York World's Fair) through the center peep hole by a Harlequin figure. The tunnel view shows the 1939 New York World's Fair Grand Concourse, Trilon, and Perisphere.
Summary:

New York City hosted the 1939 World's Fair with the theme "The World of Tomorrow" on the 150th anniversary of George Washington's presidential inaguration. This tunnel book was available as a souvenir from the Firestone Factory and Exhibition Building at the fair.
