The county of Londonderry was settled by members of the guilds of London, England, by royal decree. The Fishmongers' Company was prominent among the group. They built impressive manor houses, churches, schools and monuments. Their estate included the villages and towns of Coleraine, Banagher, Ballykelly, and Tamlaghtfinlagan in the old county of Coleraine, now with Londonderry.
