Each volume has a woodcut vignette on the titlepage. Tomo I and II have a floral arrangement with a staff and two urns marked 'Bibe' and 'Sitio'; tomo III and IV have Minerva sitting among ruins, with a 'P' (for Pagliarini) on the block on which Minerva's owl is sitting; tomo V has Pagliarini's monogram within a symmetrical scrolling design with two winged male demi-figures holding crabs; tomo VI has a rectangular block containing an oval cartouche with an elevation of the Pantheon within; and tomo VII has a cartouche containing crossed caduceus, lyre, trumpet and other symbols of art and learning.
There are woodcut head-pieces in tomo I on A1a (eight putti sporting with geometrical figures), in tomo II on A1a (a symmetrical design incorporating two demi-figures with scrolling foliage beneath the waist, repeated in tomo IV on a4a), in tomo III on a4a (a symmetrical design incorporating swans) and A1a (a symmetrical design of scrolling foliage around a female face), and in tomo VII on A1a (a small ornament incorporating a female face). Woodcut tail-pieces appear in tomo II on a6b (Pagliarini's large monogram, repeated in tomo VII on I4b), in tomo IV on a4b (a small ornament), in tomo V on 4b (Pagliarini's large device incorporating Minerva, repeated in tomo VI on Yy3b and in tomo VII on T2a), in tomo VI on N2a (a symmetrical design with two male demi-figures beneath a winged cherubic face, repeated in tomo VII on T3b), and in tomo VII on 2b (the device from the t.p. of tomo III and IV), Z2a (a symmetrical design of demi-figures spouting water into a fountain) and Bb1a (symbols of Papal power). There are woodcut initials in tomo I on a2a and A1a; in tomo II on a2a and A1a; in tomo III on a2a, a4a (factotum) and A1a; in tomo IV on a2a, a4a (factotum) and A1a; in tomo V on 2a, 4a (factotum) and A1a; in tomo VI on a2a (factotum), b2a (factotum) and A1a; and in tomo VII on 2a (factotum) and A1a. Small typographical ornaments are used as tail-pieces throughout tomo VI.
