Son enjeu est de montrer l'ordinaire notamment graphique éminemment visible d'une ville que l'histoire et son avatar contemporain, le tourisme, parce qu'ils s'emploient tous deux à recenser et à admirer ce qu'ils jugent être l'extraordinaire, rendent proprement invisible. Il s'agit donc de rendre perceptible par le biais photographique ce fossé que la culture creuse entre un par-trop-visible, qui est un par-trop-vu, et un quasi-invisible qui, si l'on n'y prête garde, reste non vu.
