"Produced on occasion of the artist's exhibition in Modena. Spans the universal and the microscopic, as well as ruminations on art, in Zobernig's typical wide-ranging style. The volumes are housed in yellow slipcover. The Art of the Encylopedia, is a 64-page book divided into seven sections, that was presented as a limited edition book in 1988 with poet-writer Ferdinand Schmatz for Edition Artelier, in Graz, at the Galerie Peter Pakesch, Graz. It is a quasi-scientific study, which questions the ability of systems, charts, and maps, to indicate the substance of reality. Atlas is a series of thirty paper collages using highly colorful scientific journals and geography books, as well as abstract forms and graphs, which create a lexicon of the universe, or cosmology, both universal and personal to Zobernig. The third volume in the tripartite catalogue is a document of the Modena exhibition, containing images, as well as essays and the exhibition's sponsors. The third volume is in Italian and English. All three are encased in a cardboard slipcover.roduced on occasion of the artist's exhibition in Modena. Spans the universal and the microscopic, as well as ruminations on art, in Zobernig's typical wide-ranging style"--Publisher's Web site
