Summary:

Videorecordings of a public lecture held on Mar. 4, 2011 at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal. Claudio Aporta, Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Carleton University, provides ethnographic and historical evidence for the existence, in time and space, of a network of well-established trails connecting most Inuit settlements and significant places across the Canadian Arctic. Includes introductory remarks by Meredith Carruthers. The lecture was the fourth of the Expert in the galleries series, held in conjunction with the exhibition Journeys : how travelling fruit, ideas and buildings rearrange our environment.
