Summary:

The Faculty of Architecture of the Université Libre de Bruxelles is taking advantage of the 2021 edition of the Photography and Architecture Triennial to publish this work on the theme "Spaces of Origins / Origins of Spaces". An opportunity to take a retrospective look at an event that approaches architecture from the joint angle of photography and storytelling. A way of evoking the discipline beyond its formal value and its aesthetic dimension, to invest its humanized, invisible, coded, mapped thicknesses, its exchange, non-market values, the meanings that it helps to establish in through its signs, in its most anonymous, most everyday reality, the farthest from its status as an object.
La faculté d'architecture de l'Université Libre de Bruxelles profite de l'édition 2021 de la Triennale Photographie et Architecture pour publier cet ouvrage sur le thème "Espaces des Origines/Origines des Espaces". Une occasion de jeter un regard rétrospectif sur une manifestation qui aborde l'architecture sous l'angle conjoint de la photographie et du récit. Une manière d'évoquer la discipline au-delà de sa valeur formelle et de sa dimension esthétique, pour investir ses épaisseurs humanisées, invisibles, codées, cartographiées, ses valeurs d'échange, non marchandes, les sens qu'elle contribue à établir à travers ses signes, dans sa réalité la plus anonyme, la plus quotidienne, la plus éloignée de son statut d'objet.
