Summary:

"These books, published by Circo de Ideias, edited by depA architects and designed by Ines Nepomuceno and Mariana Marques, present the research carried out within the scope of the Portuguese representation at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of the Venice Biennale. The books directly answers the question posed by Hashim Sarkis, general curator of the Biennale Architettura 2021: 'How will we live together?' revisiting a selection of processes of Portuguese architecture in the democratic period shaped by a comprehensive public debate between political power, the press, and civil society. The first volume covers the exhibition on the main floor of Palazzo Giustinian Lolin in Venice. Just as throughout the rooms of the Palazzo, these pages revisit seven processes of Portuguese architecture that address the issue of housing. The second volume covers the cycle of debates held at Palazzo Giustinian Lolin in Venice, Palácio Sinel de Cordes, home of the Lisbon Architecture Triennale, Espaço Mira Forum in Porto, and online." -- From depA architects website.
