National Treasures / [presented by] Jeremy Dixon (Dixon Jones) & Edward Jones.
London, England : Pidgeon Digital, 2006.
1 online resource (1 video file (51 minutes)) : sound, color
Jeremy Dixon and Edward Jones were students together at the Architectural Association, and were close friends for many years before setting up the partnership Dixon - Jones in 1972, and so they share stored references to do with architecture. For this recording they have selected, out of a huge body of work, projects in London - the Royal Opera House, the National Portrait Gallery, the National Gallery and Somerset House; all "National Treasures" - that come close to the architects' long-time concern for protecting the nature of cities, not merely in terms of conservation.
