Summary:

Writer and commentator Peter Murray has been at the forefront of architectural debate in the UK for over five decades. In addition to editing the influential publications Building Design and RIBA Journal, he also launched both Blueprint magazine and the first London Architecture Biennale, now the London Festival of Architecture. In this talk, Murray describes his formative experience on radical 1960s magazines Clip-Kit and Megascope, his journalist campaigns and exposés during the 1970s, and his more recent work promoting architecture and the built environment through consultancy Wordsearch and New London Architecture, the centre for London's built environment. He also reflects on the monumental changes to architectural publishing he has witnessed over the course of his career.
