Summary:

Art and Care: Reflections on the To Mind Is To Care Exhibition reflects on the curatorial research that has been undertaken by Dora Vrhoci and Florian Weigl in the run-up, but especially during the To Mind Is To Care exhibition and peripheral programming. An exhibition Florian Weigl curated with a strong focus on ‘Caring for’. To Mind Is To Care is an ‘interdisciplinary study of care’ defined as everything we do to maintain and restore our world so that we can live in it to the best of our ability. This world encompasses our bodies, ourselves and our environment, which we all try to weave into a complex and sustainable web. Florian Weigl approached the exhibition as second chapter in this study in which you can see the To Mind Is To Care publication as the first chapter of research. Presenting it not as a finalized static exhibition – but looking at it as a research platform, we hoped to gain more practical insights into several theoretical points made and positions taken in the book. This e-publication reports on the insights we gained.
