Summary:

Made available to the public on the occasion of the public art exhibition "Analogue Sites", presented, April 1-October 31, 2024 at Park Avenue Malls at 53rd, 66th, and 67th Streets, New York, N.Y. The exhibition is composed of large steel sculptures that Jorge Otero-Pailos created while preserving the former U.S. Embassy in Oslo. Wrought from the fence that once surrounded the building, the sculptures are placed along Park Avenue in dialogue with mid-century modernist landmarks and the Park Avenue Armory. The artists' book is composed of a clamshell box with a triangular metal plate embedded inside the upper board and two comparments containing 51 folded prints. The prints and the plate are related to the sculptures and to diplomatic treaties from which the sculptures derive their names.
