"The cover of this book sets the stage: a man confronts a pillar in an empty gallery. Inside he grapples with it. In a series of close up video stills, we see the man's hands gripping the pillar from both sides, not quite reaching all the way around. The camera pulls out occasionally to show that he is moving around the pillar with his arms outstretched, trying to encircle it. Flipping rapidly through the pages, the hands which almost meet in the center of the book appear to be both caressing the pillar and gently trying to pull the book apart. This tension drives the book, and, quite possibly, the artist who created it."-- provided by distributor.
