"THE GODDESS BUNNY is known the world over for her tap dancing. An Angelino to her core, she was born to perform, Old Hollywood diva meets avant-garde of the sick and famous. At an early age she was diagnosed with polio which led to a series of medical interventions, and she later dealt with family rejection when she came out as trans, but these experiences only crystalized her determination to live her life on her own terms. By the time she was a young adult, she had already cemented herself as a fixture of the underground drag and punk scene of Los Angeles. She was well known for her passionate lip-syncing and rousing dance routines that she performed at restaurants, clubs, and hustler bars up and down Santa Monica Boulevard. She was a muse to filmmakers, fashion designers, and playwrights like Penelope Spheeris, Rick Owens, and Reza Abdoh, and she also appeared in films and music videos, including opposite Carrie Fisher in Hollywood Vice Squad. In 1994, she starred in a documentary that included an infamous scene of her tap dancing that would later break the internet in the early 2000s. The Goddess Bunny died of COVID in 2021. The letterforms in this font are based on the Goddess Bunny's handwriting, modified by replacing the stroke with a series of dancing feet. This font has two weights: Two Step and Half Step. Two Step combines both the left and right feet within each letterform and can be used like a typical font. Half Step separates the two so that the uppercase corresponds to the left foot and the lowercase correspond to the right. If used in an application that allows you to adjust the leading (the space between lines), you can reduce the leading to 0 between two lines of the same text set in different colors (one in uppercase and the other in lowercase) in order to produce a two-color variation. The uppercase and lowercase can also be used "freestyle" by reducing the leading between lines of different text in order to produce new letterforms. Using the Half Step weight allows you to dance while you write. This is the eighth font in A Queer Year of Love Letters."-- provided by distributor.
