Spaces For Exhibition & Display / [presented by] John Tuomey (O'Donnell + Tuomey).
London, England : Pidgeon Digital, [2022]
1 online resource (1 video file (22 minutes)) : sound, color
This talk presents Tuomey's thinking about spaces for exhibition and display, and how it influenced the approach taken by the competition-winning design by O'Donnell + Tuomey for a new museum for the Victoria and Albert Museum, known as V&A East. John Tuomey established O'Donnell + Tuomey with Sheila O'Donnell in 1988. Their practice is committed to the craft and culture of architecture with studios in Dublin, Cork and London. They intend their buildings to "feel 'strangely familiar' original in their concept, contemporary in their expression, but belonging to the deeper background of their place".
