St Catharines, Ontario: Vanwell, 1997. 64 pp, 7 1/2" H. B&w photographs, maps. "It was a typical winter morning in Halifax. Ships of war passing in the Narrows, kids going to school, stores opening up, trains pulling in along the waterfront. Then suddenly BOOM! There's a tremendous explosion! In a terrific blast of fire and wind whole city blocks are levelled, reduced to rubble. Deadly showers of glass, bricks and red-hot metal spray everywhere, doing enormous damage and causing many deaths. Hundreds of people are buried alive in buildings which have collapsed. The 'Mont Blanc', a small freighter carrying high explosives, collided with another ship in the Narrows. She caught fire, the explosives ignited and she was blown from the face of the earth!".
