A comprehensive historical and technical study of the architectonic and urban development of the city of San Luis Potosí, México, from the Pre-Columbian settlements of the Guachichiles-Tlaxcaltexas Indian groups with their large spatial designs to the skilled baroque architecture and ornamentations of the colonial era. The studied area is now the historic downtown of the city and represents the original Pre-Columbian urban design. The study was originally the doctorate thesis that won the prize "Francisco de la Maza" by Conaculta and INAH.
