Summary:

An historical epic which honors the cult of Josef Stalin, who takes a vow to continue the work of Lenin. Concurrently, the film is also the story of a family whose father was killed by the kulaks in 1926. The mother, Varvara, helps Stalin understand the plight of the little man. Follows Soviet history from the time of Lenin's death until the end of World War II.
