Summary:

Purpose of the Second International Symposium was to generate concern for housing problems around the world and for the need for lower-cost housing units in particular. Interested people gathered together to create an interdisciplinary approach toward the housing problem. The papers are selected and printed to include every aspect of housing problems with a continuity of subject. Theme of the Symposium is application of the Integrated Systems Approach towards the total solution of housing needs in the world which includes concepts of Systems Building and system analysis. For such an approach the interdisciplinary study became necessary.
