Ill.: 161 full-page engravings, comprising an allegorical frontispiece, port. of the author and 159 views, maps, plans and ill. of utensils, plants, etc.; engraved by M. Tuscher, all but front. and port. after the author. Due to Tuscher's death the portrait and last plate were not engraved by him (cf.--preface, sig. d(2)b-e(1)a. The 24 pictorial initials, head- and tailpieces were engraved by Tuscher and J. Haas after P. Cramer and I. Preisler.
