"The building 'Fabrikstrasse 14' by Spanish architect José Rafael Moneo is the second laboratory building on the Novartis Campus. Located right next to the laboratory complex 'Fabrikstrasse 16' by Adolf Krischanitz, which was completed last year, it responds to the task of building a laboratory in an altogether different way. In Moneo's building, long access corridors accompany the glazed longitudinal facade, while the actual work rooms and laboratories are arranged in the inside area. The building is presented in large photographs and plans, while an inventory summaries all the constructional data. There are texts by internationally known authors. The work by the artist Katharina Grosse is also presented with text and images. Grosse designed the entrance and the back wall of the restaurant, making a conspicuous and strongly colourful gesture."--Publisher description.
