"Jean-Paul Viguier was born in Azas, France in 1946. For over twenty years now he has been one of the few French architects to have succeeded in bridging the gap between large-scale public and private projects. As well as numerous buildings in France, he has also realized projects in Asia and in the United States. Viguier was influenced by Mies van der Rohe, and he seeks actively to walk the fine line that separates responsibility and creativity. This publication presents sixteen selected projects by Jean-Paul Viguier dating from the last ten years; they include the Andre Citroen Park, Paris, the French Pavilion at Expo 92 in Seville, the Franco-Chinese Center at Tong Ji University, Shanghai and the Sofitel Hotel, Chicago."--Jacket.
