"Sarah Sze's project at the Center for Curatorial Studies (CCS) Museum takes her literally into new ground. Sited in three different locations on the CCS campus, 'Powers of Ten' is her first major outdoor work. Although she has previously placed sculptures outside - such as 'Six Footer' (2000), a twisted ladder encircling a tree - at the CCS she has actually worked within the landscape, inserting the three parts of her installation in the earth, and in turn allowing nature to invade her art." - page 7.
