Summary:

Architectus is one of New Zealandʼs pre-eminent contemporary architectural practices with a host of awards. Over the last five years, in particular, they have made a major contribution to the changing face of the New Zealand built environment. This beautifully produced book provides an opportunity to study their work in depth. Started more than twenty years ago by Patrick Clifford, Malcolm Bowes and Michael Thomson, Architectus has won just about every New Zealand Institute of Architects award for architecture. Many of the practice's buildings have become modern New Zealand architectural icons. Their work has been published extensively in books and magazines in New Zealand, Australia and around the world. The practice recently moved into the international arena by uniting with a group of Australian architects to form offices in Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane - with connections to other practices around the world. This very high quality monograph covers their most important buildings from residential houses, public buildings, community buildings and commercial offices. In all it features twelve projects with excellent colour photography (interior and exterior) with insightful texts, often taken from magazine reviews and criticisms. Each project also features detailed plans and sketches."--Publisher description.
