This volume is dedicated to the three poems by Majakovsky designed by the well-known artist of the Russian avantgarde, designer and photographer Alexander Michailovich Rodchenko (1891-1956): "Pro Eto" (About This) 1923, "Sergeyou Yeseninu" ("To Sergei Yesenin") 1926 and "Razgovor s fininspectorom o poezii" ("A Talk with the Financial Inspector about Poetry") 1926 ... Extracts from Rodchenko's memoirs "Work with Majakovsky" from 1940 are also included in the second part of the book giving a vivid picture of relationships between the poet and the artist from 1915 up to 1930. .. The book is summed up by the essay of Professor Alexander Lavrentiev on the [sic] Rodchenko's typography and graphic design within the context of the artist's works in painting, graphics sculpture and design in general."-Resume, p. 116.
