Summary:

Pariser Platz, immediately east of the Brandenburg Gate and a few yards from the Reichstag, is possibly Berlin's most historic square. This video documents the rebirth of this important square, and recounts the history of a site which played an important role in the political and cultural life of Berlin. The program shifts back and forth between the present day architects, their design concepts, particularly those of the newly-planned embassies, and the lively controversies surrounding these projects, as well as the history of the square and the individual buildings which once stood there.
