Recordings of a lecture held at the Canadian Centre for Architecture, Montréal, Apr. 16, 1998. Karen Molson presents the life and legacy of John Molson, founder of Molson's Brewery and director of banks in Montréal, beginning with his arrival in Montréal in 1782 at the age of eighteen. The event was organized by Heritage Montréal in collaboration with the CCA and was the last in a series of lectures entitled "Les bâtisseurs de la métropole" = "Builders of the Metropolis", presented as a compliment to the exhibition "Montréal métropole, 1880-1930", held at the CCA Mar. 18-May 24, 1998. Includes introductory and closing remarks by Dinu Bumbaru and Nancy Dunton
